Minister for Minor Irrigation, APIDC and Lift Irrigation T.G.Venkatesh was felicitated by various Arya Vysya Associations at the SKPVV Hindu High School here on Sunday. Vijayawada West MLA Vellampalli Srinivas Rao, Jagayyapet MLA Sriram Rajagopal, Vijayawada East MLA Yelamanchili Ravi, MLCs Ilapuram Venkaiah, Jelli Wilson, city Congress president Pyla Sominaidu, Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce president Gaddam Subba Rao and Congress corporators Nukala Nageswara Rao were present.
Earlier, the Minister held a review meeting with officials of the Irrigation department. He said that an ayacut of 57,264 acres was created by establishing 82 lift irrigation schemes in at an outlay of Rs 94.21 crores in Vijayawada division.
