A group of medical students led by city’s Young India Volunteers Organisation (YIVO), an NGO run by doctors and students, will visit Burripalem of Guntur district which was adopted by actor Mahesh Babu recently. The team of doctors and medical students from the Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, NRI Academy of Medical Sciences and the ASRAM Medical College will conduct a door-to-door survey from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to collect the health status and statistics of the dwellers.

“Following the feedback, we will plan health interventions in the coming few months. This is being done in view of Mahesh Babu adopting the village,” YIVO founder K.S.L. Sruthi told The Hindu.
