Management conference begins at Vignan University

A two-day ‘Dr. C. K. Prahalad Memorial National Conference on Management-Issues and Challenges for the Decade' began at Vignan University on Wednesday. Academicians, research scholars and business professionals from across the country participated in the event and over 70 research articles from various disciplines were presented in the technical sessions. Participating as the chief guest, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi Director M.J. Xavier said a person, whether he is a student or a professional or a common man, should focus on continuous learning, which is the need of the contemporary management arena.

He observed that collaboration and creating or eliminating competition would lead to success. He went on to share his experiences in the field of management and lessons learnt by him during interactions with varied personalities around the world.

V. Ramesh, president of Hyderabad Management Association, guided the students about what it takes for a person to become a successful professional. Later, Mr. Xavier released a book titled `Management–Issues and Challenges for the Decade' edited by P. Srinivasa Reddy, Professor of School of Management, Vignan University and convener of the present conference. The technical sessions were chaired by top professionals and academicians like A. M. Rao, vice-president, Mahindra Satyam Software Solutions, K. Rammohan Rao, Professor of Andhra University and Y. Srinivasulu, Professor of Pondicherry University. Vignan University Registrar A. Leela Mohan, director of Engineering & Technology V. Madhusudan Rao, Head of School of Management D. Vijaykrishna and others participated.
