A private electrician, D. Krishnaiah, suffered burns in acid attack at Buja Buja Nellore village in Nellore Rural mandal on Saturday.
The victim suffered 20 per cent burns and his condition is stated to be stable.
Illicit affair
According to the police, Krishnaiah, allegedly had illicit affair with a widow of Buja Buja Nellore, which was opposed by her family members. Today the woman's brothers - K. Pratap and K. Penchalaiah - thrashed the victim over the issue and splashed acid on him.
The Venkatachalam police registered a case and took the accused into custody. The investigation is on.
