Making the most of it

Folk artistes from all over Andhra Pradesh showcased their talent on World Tourism Day celebrations at Berm Park in Vijayawada. It also gave students of Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College a chance to test their prowess. It was a feast to the eyes of tourists to witness varied art forms at one place along with an array of water-based sports on the reservoir of Prakasam Barrage on River Krishna. The celebrations by the A.P. Tourism Development Corporation concluded on Tuesday, September 30. A mega shopping festival with food courts and stalls pertaining to crafts, garments and other artefacts were put up along with models of several temples. Dandiya was an added attraction at the event.
