Members of the Krishna District Lorry Owners’ Association have hailed the Centre’s decision to extend the length of the proposed flyover from Benz Circle in the city up to Ramesh Hospital junction, which was earlier sanctioned only till Nirmala Convent Junction.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, association’s general secretary Sunkara Ramesh said Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping P. Radhakrishnan, during his visit to the city to participate in the BJP’s Vikas Parv on Tuesday, had announced that the proposed bridge would be extended till Ramesh Hospital junction. The decision will ease traffic at Benz Circle which takes maximum traffic load in city and also near the Nirmala Convent junction where people have to wait for a long time for traffic to clear.
