Waiver of crop loans is now a hot topic among different circles, including political, employees and of course farming community. About Rs.70,000 crore is outstanding debt of farmers in Andhra Pradesh but instead of waiving the loan, it can be used for stability fund of agricultural products. This would serve two purposes, farmers will get remunerative prices for their produce and also tenant farmers are not covered under crop loan waiving.
More importantly, government should find a way to implement effective insurance policy for agricultural crops, than making it has election promise.

CGHS office
Post bifurcation, the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh requires CGHS of central government for its employees and pensioners living in the State. Vijayawada is in a better position for office location since many super speciality hospitals are located in the city. This apart, proximity gives Vijayawada an edge over the chances of other cities in the State. Government should also construct a premium hospital alike NIMS in the city.

Multiplexes fleecing customers
Mulitplex theatre complex owners are fleecing patrons by charging exorbitant prices for tickets and eatables. At a multiplex theatre in Gandhinagar, the ticket costs Rs.100 to watch the movie, a tea costs Rs.50 and a soft drink is sold at Rs.90. The most surprising aspect, theatre management does not offer even water. Watching a movie in multiplex complexes in the city is proving to be a costly affair for patrons. I request the legal metrology department authorities to take some action against such managements.
