Students of Veeramachaneni Paddayya Siddhartha Public School (VPSPS) displayed live models of various projects in the two-day Mathematics and Science Exhibition inaugurated on the school premises on Friday.
The school management arranged the exhibition in connection with the Republic Day celebrations. Students from Classes 1 to 10 laboriously prepared several working models for the event.
Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education secretary P. Lakshmana Rao inaugurated the science exhibition. He went round the exhibition looking at the projects and interacted with the students.

Students explained the staff and the visitors about the working of various projects, including solar energy, biogas plant, rainwater harvesting, green house, power conservation, emu farms, eco-friendly town, wild life management, and other models.
Mr. Lakshmana Rao said the exhibition revealed the talent and creativity among children.
He stressed the need for practical knowledge on par with classroom teaching for students.
Projects such as preparedness for natural calamities, effect of junk food, environment pollution, drip irrigation, environment without plastic and polythene, uses of medicinal plants, and mathematical models impressed the visitors.
Many students, parents, and visitors complimented the students, guides, and the organisers for arranging the science exhibition.
“Science fairs will help enhance knowledge and creativity among the students. Such programmes will create a platform to exchange ideas,” said V. Vijaya Lakshmi, a visitor. Siddhartha Academy president M. Rajaiah, joint secretary N. Lalith Prasad, convener P. Prabhas, principal Col. C.V. Ramanaiah, and vice-principal Y. Vani participated.
Rangoli competitions were also conducted for students. Prizes would be given away to the winners during the Republic Day celebrations on Saturday, said the organisers.
