Krishna tops in Inter results

With 67 per cent pass percentage, girls fared better than boys in the intermediate first year examinations, results of which were declared here on Thursday. The overall pass percentage stood at 62.98 per cent, registering four per cent rise when compared to last year.

Second year results are likely to be declared on April 28 and the overall pass percentage of Andhra Pradesh is higher than Telangana State, said Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao after releasing the results.

Among the 4,61,932, who had appeared for the exams, 2,90,939 passed. Krishna district, with a pass percentage of 76 per cent, ranked first in the State, while Kadapa was at the bottom of the list with 52 per cent. Eight out of 13 districts in the State registered pass percentage less than the State average of 63 per cent. The advanced supplementary exams will be conducted from May 25 to June 2 and the last date for payment of examination fees is May 1. Officials are making efforts to despatch the marks memo by April 28 and principals can collect the same from respective Regional Inspection Officers. Students, who passed in all papers, can appear for improvement on payment of Rs.100 for each paper in addition to the normal examination fee.

Candidates will appear with the same registration number of IPE March 2015. The best of old and new performance will be taken only for those students, who passed in all subjects.
