Krishna district new Joint Collector assumes charge

Outgoing Joint Collector P. Usha Kumari greeting her successor J. Murali is at Collectorate in Machilipatnam on Tuesday.

New Joint Collector J. Murali assumed office on Tuesday. He replaces P. Usha Kumari, who has been transferred as Srikakulam Joint Collector.

Earlier, Mr. Murali was Deputy Secretary in Chief Minister’s Office and worked in other wings such as Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Chief Minister’s Assurance Cell as well as Indiramma Baata.

He had worked in the departments such as Integrated Tribal Development, Revenue and District Rural Development Authority and served in Vizianagaram, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, and Guntur in various positions.

Mr. Murali, who joined the service as Deputy Collector in 1996, was conferred Indian Administration Service Cadre in 2012.

Ms. Usha Kumari and District Revenue Officer L. Vijaya Chander and other officials also congratulated him at the Collectorate.
