The university will waive tuition fee for the students who achieved first 10 ranks in KLUEEE, who bagged ranks from 1 to 200 in Eamcet, one to 3,000 rankers in JEE mains and one to 5,000 rank holders in JEE-Advanced exam, said the Vice-Chancellor.

Students of Sri Chaitanya IIT, Gudavalli, proved their talent in Koneru Lakshmaiah University Engineering Entrance Exam-2014 (KLUEEE).

Of the first 10 ranks, Sri Chaitanya IIT bagged eight ranks including the first and second ranks, said KLU vice-president Koneru Raja Harin, who along with university Vice-Chancellor L.S.S. Reddy, dean (academics) K. Rama Krishna and director (admissions) P. Srinivas released the KLUEEE results on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Harin said as many as 36,480 students from all over the country appeared for KLUEEE of which 16,745 students qualified . Counselling for admissions in to various courses would be held from June 12 to 15, 2014 said the vice-president.

New courses

Dean Rama Krishna said that KLU which was offering 35 courses in B.Tech is introducing two new courses — B.Tech in Petroleum and B.Tech in Food Technology — which have good demand in the market.
