Alumni of 1987-91 batch of Koneru Lakshmaiah University (KLU), who settled down at different places across the world, are celebrating the two-day silver jubilee celebrations at Green Fields, the university campus at Vaddeswaram village in Guntur district.
Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) president Koneru Satyanarayana inaugurated the celebrations along with secretary K. Siva Kanchana Latha, former student coordinators Kamala Sri, Vijaya Krishna, Sudha Rani, Srinivas Murthy and other participants.
They recalled their college days, student life at then Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLEF), which was elevated into KLU later.
Some students have set up own firms, a few settled as engineers, some as teachers while a some alumni are working in reputed companies at different places across the globe, said the university Alumni Association coordinators K. Subba Rao and Chandrashekar.
University vice-president Koneru Raja Hareen appealed to the alumni to be role models for the students in the present generation and serve the society as responsible citizens.
