Relatives of two accident victims, who died here at a private hospital, staged a dharna outside the hospital demanding action against the hospital. They alleged that the two persons lost their lives in the accident due to the negligence of the hospital.
T. Nagaraju (30) of Vuyyuru and Venkateswara Rao (38) met with a road accident on Monday at about 10 p.m. when they were riding a two-wheeler from Vuyyuru to Machilipatnam. Initially they were taken to Machilipatnam Government Hospital but after seeing the severity of the accident they were referred to Vijayawada for better treatment. Hearing the news of the death, a number relatives and friends arrived at the hospital. The dharna, however, fizzled out by evening and family members did not book a police complaint.
