Pulusu Janardhan Rao, former Mayor of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, and Andhra Pradesh SC Corporation former chairman R.D. Wilson joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Ministers Kamineni Srinivas and P. Manikyala Rao at the State party office here on Saturday. Welcoming them into the party, Mr. Kamineni Srinivas said their entry would further strengthen BJP which was taking steps for welfare of the backward communities including fishermen and Madigas to which the new entrants belong. Leaders of various parties are getting attracted to BJP due to the good work being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party would become strong enough to compete with regional parties in the future, Mr. Srinivas said. BJP leaders Somu Veerraju, Suresh Reddy and Kanna Lakshminarayana also spoke.
