Revolutionary writer G. Kalyan Rao on Monday hit out at Union Home Minister P.Chidambaram for his ‘Operation Green hunt' and demanded the Home Minister be sacked from the Cabinet for making ‘anti-democratic comments.'

Maoists movement

Mr. Kalyan Rao, who was here to take part in a commemoration meeting held in memory of freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh, told mediapersons that it would be impossible to decimate the Maoists as the movement was born out of popular aspiration for social justice and equality. He also condemned the Home Minister for declaring that Maoism would be annulled in the country within four years and said that a democratically elected minister should have never used the ‘violent tone.'

Reiterating that a judicial enquiry should be conducted over the ‘fake encounters' eliminating top Maoist leaders, Mr. Kalyan Rao said that the State could never annihilate the Maoist movement.

Earlier at the meeting, Mr. Kalyan Rao claimed that they were the real successors of Bhagat Singh and vowed to continue the fight against the imperialist policies of the State and Central Governments.
