Jandhyala memorial award foro Subbarayya Sarma

Abhiruchi, a local cultural outfit promoting performing arts, will felicitate theatre artist and television actor Subbarayya Sarma with legendary film director Jandhyala memorial award on January 14 here, according to outfit’s president Pulipaka Krishnaji on Thursday.

He said actor Naresh, upcoming actor Rakshit Atluri, city joint police commissioner B.V. Ramana Kumar, Income Tax joint commissioner T. Satyanadham, Jandhyala’s wife Annapurna, daughters Sahiti, Sampada and several theatre, film and television artists will attend the function. He said the former All India Radio station director P. Panduranga Rao will also be honoured.

The fans and disciples of Jandhyala will offer a floral tribute to the bronze statue at Tummallapalli Kalakshetram on that day. In the evening a dance ballad by P. Sai Maneswini and troupe, and songs recitation by whistle by Roja Prasannatha will take place, Mr. Krishnaji said.
