Chennai Central-Vijayawada-Chennai Central Janashatabdi Express will be diverted to run via New Guntur Station with effect from April 1, according to Vijayawada Railway Division press release.

Meanwhile, the fares in the AC I class, AC 2 tier and First Class will increase with effect from April 1.

Train No. 12077 Chennai Central-Vijayawada Janashatabdi Express will depart Chennai Central at 7 a.m., Sullurupeta at 8.10 a.m., arrive/depart Gudur Jn. at 9.15/09.17 a.m., Nellore at 9.43 a.m., Kavali at 10.19 a.m. Ongole at 11.13 a.m., Chirala at 11.49 a.m. Tenali Jn., at 12.30 p.m., New Guntur at 1 p.m., arrive Vijayawada Jn., at 2 p.m. In return direction Train No. 12078 Vijayawada-Chennai Central Janashatabdi Express will depart Vijayawada Jn., at 2.45 p.m., New Guntur at 3.25 p.m., Tenali Jn., at 4.00 p.m., Chirala at 4.44 p.m. Ongole at 5.28 p.m., Kavali at 6.13 p.m., Nellore at 6.47 p.m., arrive/depart Gudur Jn. at 7.40/7.42 p.m., Sullurupeta at 8.25 p.m., arrive at Chennai Central at 10 p.m.

Fare hike

With effect from journey commencing after 00.00 hrs. of April 1, fare for AC I class, AC 2 tier and First Class will increase.

Passengers have been asked to make note of this and those passengers who had purchased tickets in advance for journeys commencing on or after April 1 will be required to pay the difference of fares in the train during the course of their journey, sources said.

‘Unreserved Tickets'

The facility of issue of Unreserved Tickets in Advance will also be not available from April 29 to 31, in view of the changes in the software.
