Jaggarao bags first prize in playwright contest

Nadiminti Jaggarao of Hyderabad bagged the first prize in the national playwright competition 2014 organised by the Telugu Kala Samiti, a Kuwait-based cultural organisation of non-resident Telugus.

T. Venkateswara Rao of Palakol, West Godavari and Gaddam Subba Rao of Prakasam won the second and third prizes respectively. The first prize winner is awarded Rs.20,000 cash prize, while second and third prize winners get Rs.15,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively. K.G.Venu from Visakhapatnam, Vidyadhar from Guntur and Kasi Viswanath from Visakhapatnam won consolation prizes worth Rs. 5,000 each, said a press release. There was good response for the competition .
