Jagan to visit capital region on March 3

March 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:01 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to tour in the capital area region in Guntur district on March 3. During his visit, Mr. Reddy would interact with farmers, who were against parting their lands and raise their concerns in the State Assembly.

This move comes in the wake of YSRC Farmers’ Rights Protection Committee’s visit to the capital region earlier where in, the locals expressed their desire to meet Mr. Reddy.

He is likely to tour seven villages of Mangalagiri Assembly Constituency and six in Tadikonda and Thullur. Farmers were being pressurised to part with their multi-crop lands, alleged party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu in a press release on Saturday.

“Using such coercion against farmers is not in the democratic spirit but it spells dictatorship,” said Mr. Rambabu.

He said this was just the beginning, in the coming days, YSRC would intensify its fight against the government.
