Continuing his tirade against Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu, Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday made a fervent appeal to the people to give a decisive mandate in the general elections.

Addressing a well attended meeting, Mr. Jagan Reddy sought the public’s support to win at least 30 Lok Sabha seats and become a strong regional player. “Let us install a Prime Minister in Delhi who will listen to us and develop the State. Give me 30 seats in Parliament and I will chart out a golden future for the state,’’ Mr. Jagan Reddy said.

Mr Jagan said that he would ensure that the State would be developed on a par with Singapore. Stating that the nine-year rule of Mr. Naidu had spelt doom for the State and created hardships for women, farmers and youth, Mr Jagan said that widows had been shown no mercy during the tenure of Mr Naidu. “I will increase the widow pension to Rs.700 and ensure that their well being is taken care of,” he said. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy sought a massive vote for Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, the MLA from Macherla.
