‘Jadugar' is back with a bag full of new tricks

For the next 30 days starting on Thursday, the lovers of magic in the city will be able to see and enjoy some incredible feats and performances by renowned magician ‘Jadugar' Anand, who promises to enthral the people with his breathtaking performances twice a day at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram.

The inaugural show will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and on subsequent days the shows will be organised at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The inaugural show will be preceded by his son Akash's blindfolded motorbike ride from Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram. A similar feat was successfully performed by Akash in many cities like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, Mr. Anand said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Entry ticket is priced from Rs. 50 to Rs. 250, and the audience will be treated to about 65 items in each show. Mr. Anand, who has been performing mainly in south Indian states for the last eight years, is making a comeback to Vijayawada after a gap of five years. The holder of the title “World's Fastest Magician” said that he staged about 29,000 shows across 36 countries and holds three world records. A training institution will be set up in Rajasthan to train those interested in learning some of the famous magic tricks that were recognised all over the world, he said.
