‘Internet of Things will create jobs for youth’

A.P. Innovation Society and iB Hubs conduct workshop

Internet of Things (IoT) and its applications in various sector such as health care, education, agriculture and retail trade are expected to create jobs for youth in the coming years, speakers asserted in a three-day workshop at G. Pulla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology in Kurnool.

With a view to creating a vibrant Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh, ‘iBootup IoT Series’, a joint initiative of iB Hubs, a PAN-India startup hub, and A.P. Innovation Society conducted the workshop. During the elaborate workshop, IoT enthusiasts gained insights into the fundamentals of IoT and its applications in various sectors. Students not only watched live demonstration of IoT product prototypes but had a hands-on experience in building prototypes using the iB Hubs Hardware Development Kit.

Talking about the initiative, Kavya Dommeti of iB Hubs, said, iBootUp IoT Series is much more than just introducing Internet of Things to students and equips them to build their careers in the IoT domain and become the pillars of innovation in the Indian IoT ecosystem. Speaking about the vision of iBootUp, Ms. Kavya said the company has been promoting a culture of entrepreneurship in advanced technologies in the state with IBootUp and equipping students with resources to develop themselves. Andhra Pradesh should become a pioneer in advanced technologies, she said.

With a vision of bringing international standard knowledge in IoT to everyone’s reach, iB Hubs has been conducting IoT training to the youth, including the students of tier 2 and 3 cities, thus making India a pioneer in IoT. The trainings are tailor made after researching on scores of training programmes and curricula and hundreds of students from national institutions like IITs and NITs have already been trained.

G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College principal B. Sreenivas Reddy said the students were capable of becoming leaders in IoT and should avail of the opportunity provided by iB Hubs. Combine passion and hard work and you can do wonders, he told students. EDC head Suresh Kumar was also present.

‘iBootUp IoT Series’ has impacted hundreds of passionate youth in Tirupati, Eluru, Vijayawada and Bhimavaram. With a solid vision for the future, ‘iBootUp ’ is all geared up to conduct 10 more workshops on different advanced technologies like IoT, Cyber Security and Data Analytics in the state.
