: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has exhorted professionals in various disciplines to come up with new ideas that could play a catalytic role in the development of Andhra Pradesh on a par with advanced States.
Launching Udyogaratham , a vehicle that connects job-seekers to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from their homes, colleges, and public places like bus and railway stations in A.P capital region, here on Thursday, Mr. Naidu said if India were to benefit from the demographic advantage it enjoyed over the ageing populations of China, Japan and many other countries, the skill gaps have to be filled. Initiatives like the ones taken by TMI Network, which has pioneered human resource consulting in India, and the A.P. Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) for connecting job-seekers with employers through Udyogaratham are required to move ahead, he said.
“Though we are bogged down by financial crunch, we can manage the show with the help of donors. What are needed are innovative ideas that catapult A.P into the league of developed States,” the Chief Minister observed.
“There is no dearth of employment opportunities. But, the youth should be shown the way to utilise them and basically let know about industry requirement,” he asserted. Initiatives like Fibre Grid caught the imagination of progressive thinkers and technocrats around the world, the Chief Minister said.
TMI Group Chairman T. Muralidharan said Udyogaratham would build a database of job-seekers, who have to get themselves registered with TMI Network free of cost. Employers have also to register with the same agency but by paying stipulated fee to avail its services.
Mobile-based solution launched
Mr. Chandrababu Naidu also launched Jobs Dialog, India’s first mobile phone –based recruitment solution founded by TMI Group. Job-seekers need to just give a missed call to phone number 7097298399 to get the registration process going. The consulting firm would get back with information on job avenues.
