Highlighting the need for inculcating the habit of book reading among children, religious scholar Chaganti Koteswara Rao advised parents to buy books, read them before opening a conversation with their children, on the content of the same. “It will help children think beyond their academics and the parents to develop bonding with their wards,” he said while releasing Toorpu Sindooram, a compilation of featured articles of senior journalist B.H.V. Mangesh, at a programme held at the JNTUK Auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rao expressed concern over various distractions that were creating a gap between parents and children. “Gone are the days when members of a family used to sit together and discuss issues ranging from domestic chores to international affairs,” he observed. He congratulated Andhrajyothy for publishing Mr. Mangesh’s articles.

Correspondent of Ideal group of educational institutions P. Chiranjeevini Kumari presided over the function, in which Vice-Chancellor of the JNTUK V.S.S. Kumar, Editor of Andhrajyothy K. Srinivas, Emesco Vijaykumar, writer Datla Devadanam Raju, convener of Sahithi Sravanthi Ganara and others were present.
