Minister for Secondary Education K. Parthasaradhy has asked officials to make a list of all available government land in Krishna district so that it could be allotted to the prospective entrepreneurs wishing to set up industrial units with good investment. At a review meeting with officials here on Friday, the Minister asked them to conduct a survey at the earliest and identify all kinds of lands that were suitable for industries and keep the list ready with them so that urea and other fertilizer companies could be established.

He wanted the revenue officials to find prospective entrepreneurs to set up factories in the 498 acres available at Jayanthipuram in Jaggayyapeta mandal in the district. About 1,000 acres was available near Machilipatnam where the industries could come up, he pointed out. Seashore-based industries also could be tapped or those suitable for that region could be proposed, he said and wanted similar proposals prepared for the industries that could be set up near Nuzvid in 1,460 acres at Mallapalli. Some land was in illegal possession of some farmers, which should be taken back by the government after proper survey and notice given to them and allotted for the industries. Sufficient land had been identified for the School of Planning and Architecture near Kondapalli and proposals were made to the State government also. Buildings of the Architecture College would be constructed as soon the governing body of the SPA gives clearance, the officials told the Minister.

District Collector S.A.M. Rizvi and Joint Collector Gaurav Uppal were present.
