High drama was witnessed on the premises of Government General Hospital here on Wednesday after Professor of Surgery A. Kiran Kumar locked himself in his room protesting his transfer to S.V. Medical College, Tirupati.
Dr. Kiran came to his office in the morning and was shocked to see his transfer and relieving order pasted on the door of his room. He locked himself in the room and refused to come out. “I am being targeted again since I am a dalit. The DME has already denied promotion and now they have transferred me,” said Dr. Kiran. The transfer orders were issued on Tuesday.
