Social WelfareMinister R. Kishore Babu on Sunday said the government was focussed on welfare of all sections of society.
He was speaking after inaugurating a temporary office of the Director, Social Welfare Department, in a girls’ hostel at Paykapuram.
He said that as part of the government’s decision to shift all offices to the capital, the department made a temporary arrangement for the initial one month. Later, it will shift to a building nearing completion in a 15,000 sft stretch near Manipal Hospital at Vaaradhi. The Minister admitted that the shifting may cause inconvenience, and said, to make life easy for the next generations, we need to make certain sacrifices for the smooth transition of the State into a prosperous destination.
