VIJAYAWADA: Ahead of bifurcation of the State, home appliances and consumer durables major Haier India has set up its A.P. State office here to facilitate business expansion in the region. The facility is the 34th office of the company in the country and it is expected to give administrative backup to its rapidly growing South Indian operations.

Launching the office on Wednesday, Haier India President Eric Braganza hoped that Vijayawada office would give a fillip to the company’s business in the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh and help in consolidating its position in South India as the world’s leading brand of major appliances. The new office would give a thrust to ‘i-age’ products in Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas.

The ‘i-age’ range that covers all categories (air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, deep freezers, water heaters and wine cellars) was designed keeping in view needs of tech-savvy customers who believe in pace, imagination, intelligence and path-breaking innovations. Mr. Braganza said Haier was adjudged the world’s number 1 brand of major appliances for the fifth consecutive year by Euromonitor and it was among the first organisations in the Indian consumer durables industry to adopt ‘service process systems’ which seamlessly integrate all service process functions for simplifying procedures at different stages of the service process.
