The Haailand Resort and Theme Park at Chinnakakani in Guntur district is gearing up to host ‘New Year Smack 2012', a star-studded gala event to usher in New Year in style.

“Keeping up the tradition of the place to celebrate New Year in style, we intend to attract a bigger crowd this year with a dazzling show in the offing at this venue,” A. Venkateswara Rao, managing director of the theme park, told a press conference on Saturday.

Celebrities

Pointing out that the entertainment destination has been studded with attractive features that include structures depicting concepts of Buddhism, he said replicas of seven Asian temples constructed on the premises were highlights.

Director V. Kalyan said the battery of celebrities descending on the venue on the New Year eve to entertain the local crowds include film actors Manjari Fadnis (of Sidhu from Srikakulam and Sakthi fame), Aksha of Kandireega and Yuvatha fame, item girl Jyothi, anchor Srivani (Gemini TV), a dance troupe led by Sekhar master of Dhee fame, dancers from Mumbai, track singers Pranavi, Sasi Kiran, master Yasasvi and baby Sahithi, comedians Tillu Venu, Thagubothu Ramesh, Dhanraj, and Ambika to present western classical dance, and Limbo Ramesh of Adhurs fame.

Besides, models from Kolkata, acrobats who would present Manipuri thrilling acts, reverse gear Guruswamy, and DJ Ryan would constitute the guest performers.

Fare

A fare of Rs. 2,012 would be charged for a couple, Rs. 1,199 for an individual and Rs. 699 per child, he added.

The chefs are already busy dishing out special delicacies for a gala Christmas dinner.

The special dinner constitutes turkey with wine, Italian, Maxican, and Chinese along with desi Punjabi dhaba style food.
