Govindu Joji takes charge as catholic diocese in-charge bishop

He succeeded Bishop Mallavarapu Prakash, who joined as Visakhapatnam archbishop recently.

Nalgonda district catholic Bishop Govindu Joji on Tuesday took charge as in-charge bishop of Vijayawada Catholic Diocese.

He succeeded Bishop Mallavarapu Prakash, who joined as Visakhapatnam archbishop recently. Bishop Govindu Joji conducted holy mass with the religious heads, clerics, and devotees at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Vijayawada.

Message

In his message, the bishop asked the devotees to pray the god for the world peace.

Gunadala Mary Matha Shrine Rector Fr. M. Chinnappa, Vijayawada Catholic Diocese heads M. Gabriel, P.J. Stephen, S.S.C. Director Fr. Muvvala Prasad and sisters participated in the prayers.

He showered blessings on the Christian brethren and wished them a healthy and happy life.

He asked the heads of various organisations and institutions to extend their cooperation for smooth running of Vijayawada diocese.

Expressing happiness over taking over as in-charge bishop, Mr. Joji assured devotees of developing Vijayawada diocese in all aspects.

He called upon the devotees to be united and spread the message of Jesus to all.

Managements of Maris Stella College, Nirmala High School, Loyola College and St. Paul Cathedral felicitated Bishop Govindu Joji.

The devotees offered fruits to Mr. Joji, and sang holy songs, on the occasion.
