Global seminar on business opportunities

The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) will organise an international conference on ‘Emerging Business Opportunities for Entrepreneurs’ at Taj Gateway here on May 29 and 30.

Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the conference in which Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Sujana Chowdary will be the special guest.

ALEAP president K. Rama Devi said that the conference would deliberate on unleashing full potential of MSMEs. This apart, the conference is aimed at promoting the best practices in the manufacturing sector, she added.

Faculty members from GIZ and Stienbies (Germany), WEConnect International (US), ILO, CFTRI, NDFB and DST will address the conference, which is co-sponsored by Ministry of MSME, SBI, SIDBI, Vijaya Bank and Corporation Bank. ALEAP expects more than 400 delegates to attend the conference. The registration fee is Rs. 1,500, while for students, it is Rs. 1,000.

ALEAP vice-president P. Jyothi Rao said that the conference would deliberate on Government of India initiatives in the contest of Make in India at inaugural session. The sessions will be on topics such as innovations and technology, food and agro-based manufacturing opportunities, smart interventions, support systems-finance/marketing, green technologies, social entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing, she said.

Experts from National Institute of Research on Jute and Allied Fibre Technology (NIRJAFT), Kolkata would speak on Natural fiber-value addition, while GIZ team would speak on green industrial parks-opportunities and challenges. National Fisheries Development Board experts would talk on topics like ornamental fish, opportunities aqua and marine products. World Bank consultant would talk on initiatives of World Bank in India, she added.
