Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy has urged his department officials to make the Krishna Pushkaram a grand success.
Addressing a teleconference from Hyderabad on Thursday, Mr. Reddy asked them to give wide publicity to the pushkarams. Prachara rathams (publicity chariots), Kala jathas etc. can be organised to create awareness about the pushkarams in all districts, he said.
The Minister suggested that officials from Krishna, Guntur, East and West Godavari and Kurnool districts should be on alert and see that the visits of VIPs were a success. Rejoinders should be given in cases of wrong and negative news that appeared in newspapers and TV channels. For it, take the help from officials of departments concerned. The Information Department should be vigilant on reports that were far from reality, he said.
Mr. Reddy said monthly appraisals should be sent to the minister and commissioner. The government would not tolerate any dereliction of duties. The Information Department officials should work in coordination with the media liaison officers. Necessary infrastructure to the staff would be provided at the earliest, he said.
The minister said that special songs on the significance of Krishna pushkar would be released shortly. Jonnavittula wrote three songs. Music would be provided by noted music director Madhavapeddi Suresh.
The tracks would be ready by July 18, he added.
