Customers come first for LIC, says Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner
The non-availability of funds should not deter government servants from serving the public, Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Azeem has said. participating in the valedictory of 56 Insurance Week Celebrations in City Branch 4 of the Life Insurance Corporation of India, on Friday, the commissioner said the officials of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation were not deterred by the financial problems the corporation was facing.
He said that the citizens were important for the organisation. Even for LIC customers were very important. Serving customers was a great opportunity to any individual or any organisation.
LIC was one of the greatest financial Institutions that continuous supported the financial needs of the country. It was introducing good insurance policies for the benefit of people, one such good policy was the Janasri Bima Yojana, the Commissioner said. Mr Azeem said that the first posting he got was an AAO in the LIC.
He gave away prizes to the staff, children of different schools who participated in drawing, essay writing, quiz and anthyakshari competitions.
Chief Manager P. Lava Kumar said that LIC was the crown jewel of the country. LIC was now extending online services to their customers throughout the country. Having 39 crore of policyholders LIC earned many national and international awards for its performance and services.
