Planet Fun, the city’s one of the largest standalone food and entertainment destination, is attracting youngsters in droves. Not because of its multi-cuisine food court or the bowling and gaming zone alone. This time, it is for the delightful package the place is offering to the visitors.

Coinciding with Friendship Day on Sunday, Planet Fun intends to launch week-long celebrations that will offer attractive discounts.

A booklet with coupons worth Rs. 300 will be offered for Rs. 150 during the week. It includes a mocktail, a pastry, a starter, and coke or mineral water, besides three gaming consoles of choice worth Rs. 20 each.

Gaming zone

“We have youngsters coming in the mornings. The bowling and gaming zone is a big hit among the young crowd. This is a unique place in the city and the young crowd don’t want to let go of the opportunity,” says Ravula Srinivas, one of the five directors who efficiently operate the place.

The sprawling 15,000 sq ft area includes a multi-cuisine food court that serves South Indian, North Indian, Italian, and Chinese cuisines along with chat, bakery, and mocktails. The centre has a bowling alley, a gaming zone, a party zone, and a chocolate room that serves coffee, pastries, and exclusive varieties of ice cream.

The counters of the different cuisines have been given novel names like Curry Leaf for the South Indian counter, Cheezz for the Italian food counter, Gup Chup for the chat counter, Garam Masala for the North Indian counter, Spring Onions for the Chinese food counter, and Squeeze for the Mocktail counter.

Dance floor

There is a separate dance floor and a hall for kitty parties. The consoles at the gaming zone are extra large.

“We have opened a gift gallery called Heaven’s Park, which is an add-on feature to the Planet Fun,” said Mr. Srinivas.

The chocolate room is a big hit with young crowd where pizzas, brownie with ice cream, a premium kind of pastry, choco pastry, a brand from Australia, sell like hot cakes.

See-through kitchen

The best part of the kitchen which serves this lip smacking stuff is that it is an island see-through kitchen. “Our packages are attractive and we hope to see bigger crowds in the next few days, says Mr. Srinivas, who manages the place along with other directors Srinivas Somisetty (Bobby), Rakesh (Rakee), Hemanth, and Raj.
