Free treatment for transport sector workers

Transport sector workers can avail free treatment for up to one month at the Apollo Health Clinics being run by the Apollo Tyres Foundation by paying Rs. 15 and getting registered, Apollo Tyres Foundation Project coordinator K Srinivasa Rao.

Addressing transport sector workers at a meeting held in Autonagar in association with Vasavya Mahila Mandali here on Sunday Mr Rao said that workers could get their blood tested through the “Meekosam” mobile van and get treatment at the closest Apollo Health Clinics. He said experienced doctors and technicians at the health clinics would be able to help them.

Gangadhar Cultural troupe staged several skits and playlets to explain to the auto workers the various ways HIV spreads and the measures that should be taken to protect themselves from contracting STD and HIV.
