Food fest begins on a high note

Ever heard of Yellow River Soup, Ping Xing Prawns or Basil Chicken? If not, here is an opportunity for you to relish these dishes in the city. Bringing such eclectic array of delicacies from 10 south-east Asian countries, Quality Inn D.V. Manor hotel is organising an oriental cuisine fest at its Aromas restaurant here from April 9 to 27.

Seasonal fruits, vegetables and ingredients required for preparing the mouth-watering dishes were brought from Thailand, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines to prepare delicacies, Hotel vice-president and general manager Rajesh Berry told media persons here on Wednesday. “We are organising the food fest to bring something new to our patrons,” he said. According to Mr. Berry, oriental cuisine is favoured all over the world for its low cholesterol and fat.
