Following the weakening of Cyclone Hudhud, fishing operations resumed along the coast of Krishna district on Monday. Fishing activity had been suspended after weathermen alerted to the storm.
Fishermen from some locations, including Nagayalanka, on Monday returned to the sea through the backwaters of Krishna.
However, the Gilakaladindi harbour authorities announced Warning No. 3 on Monday, suspending fishing activity.
Fishermen from Gilakaladindi said they were gearing up for work from Tuesday.
“Hudhud had no impact on Krishna district including the strategic coastline. We have no reports of damage to standing paddy crop or fishing materials,” Hudhud In-charge of Machilipatnam coast A. Varaprasada Rao said.
Meanwhile, the government has roped in a field-level team to register damages claimed by people.
