Family, property disputes the provocation

: Family and property disputes are leading to kidnappings. The recent abduction of an SSC student, Abhay (15), from Hyderabad ended in tragedy.

On March 18, three persons, who worked in the shop owned by Abhay’s father, Raj Kumar, kidnapped the boy at his residence. The called up the boy’s father and demanded Rs. 10 crore for his release.

However, they detained the boy in a room and strangled him to death. Later, they escaped to Rajamahendravaram by train. Police detected the case and rounded up all the accused.

In another kidnap, which shocked the State in 2010, ten-year-old Palagani Naga Vaishnavi, daughter of P. Prabhakara Rao, a businessman, was killed after she was abducted by her uncle and a gang of hired killers.

They kidnapped the girl due to property dispute.
