The Krishna district unit of the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP), in association with PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, will organise a day-long event on energy conservation on the college campus on December 19 (Friday).

“As part of the ongoing ‘energy conservation’ week being observed by the Corporation, we intend to create this platform for college students to become part of this drive. To spread awareness about the crucial issue, we will organise competitions in elocution, essay writing and model display,” NREDCAP’s Krishna District Manager K. Srinivasa Rao said.

“Students of all engineering and science colleges across the district have been invited to participate in the event. Besides students, other stake-holders like manufacturers, distributors and vendors of renewable energy sources will showcase their products,” said college Principal S.V.M. Bhuvanaika Rao.

Cash prizes of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 will be given to the first, second and third best students in all events.

Interested students can enrol by visiting pvpsiddhartha.ac.in.
