Epson experience zone opened

Epson, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computer printers, information and imaging related equipment, has opened its first ‘Exclusive Epson Experience (E3) Zone of the State in Vijayawada on Thursday. It is the eighth such store in the country. Epson India director (sales and marketing) N. Samba Moorthy addressing a press conference said that the primary idea behind the E3 outlet was to give the customer a ‘hands on feel’ of the product. “All the product details were available on the internet, but the exclusive Epson experience zone will give our customers and experience of the product,” Mr Moorthy said. He said that Epson printers were very popular. The Epson Dot-Matrix Printers enjoyed a market share of approximately 53 per cent. Its inkjet prints and all-in-ones 21 per cent and point-of-sale printers 52 per cent. Epson had 14 per cent market share in projectors.

Projector

The new home theatre projector (all-in-one projector) EH-DM30HD had a built-in DVD players and dual stereo speakers. It even has a handle for easy portability and weighs just 4.3 kg. With a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens there was no need to dim the lighting in the room, Mr. Murthy explained.Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, who was the chief guest, said that the projectors would be useful in educational institutions and for imparting health education. The running cost of Epson was also very low with a black and white printing costing just ten paisa a page and colour prints costing 20 paisa a page. Coastal Andhra distributor of Epson K.Balamurali Krishna was present.
