The Multiple System Operators (MSO) running the cable networks for satellite channels in various towns/cities of Guntur and Krishna districts blacked out all the entertainment channels on Monday protesting against the proposed division of Andhra Pradesh.

The SitiCable Director Saibaba said that the entertainment channels had been blacked out only for 12 hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to support the Samaikyandhra movement and reciprocate what MSOs in other Seemandhra districts had done so far.

The operators opined that this move would force people to concentrate on the political problem and lend their support to the people taking lead in forcing the Congress Party to withdraw its decision to carve out Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.
