Women comprise 50 per cent of the country’s population and the task of developing the nation would become easy if the educated lot among them come into politics, said MP Yalamanchili Satyanarayana Chowdary, on Saturday.
He was addressing the inaugural session of Dr. V. Koteswaramma and Prof. V.V. Krishna Rao Educational Endowment Fund, launched by the Montessori Mahila Kalasala on the college campus.
He said development and transparency should become the mantra of Indian politics and underscored the significance of discipline.
He also complimented the Director and Correspondent of Montessori Educational Institutions that encompassed KG-to-PG-level education in various fields.
“This could be made possible only due to the unrelenting hard work and commitment of Ms. Koteswaramma,” he said.
Informing that the present day youth had wide scope for prosperity in various fields, he said youngsters must make the best of the opportunity and mould their personalities accordingly.
Expo inauguratedEarlier, Mr. Chowdary inaugurated an exhibition organised as part of the event by students of various Montessori institutions.
Exhibits and working models related to subjects of Telugu, English, science, social and mathematics were on display.
The exhibition will be on for a week, said Ms. Koteswaramma.
She said the newly-formed Fund would disburse scholarships to meritorious students pursuing different courses.
