DPS students skate their way to trophies

They dominate district-level skating championship competitions

The students of Delhi Public School, Vijayawada proved their skating skills by bagging most of the trophies at the district-level skating championship competitions.

In the competitions, organised at the Dandamudi Rajagopal Indoor Stadium, in the eight to ten years category, A. Manikrishna secured the gold medal in rink four and five, Ratna Ajay Pravishta secured gold in rink three and silver in rink four.

The silver medal in the 10-12 years category rink three went to M. Murthy Raju who also secured the gold medal in rink four and C. R. Kireeti won the gold medal in road event, rink three and five.

M. Abhilah won the gold medal in rink three of 12-14 years category,

M. Sri Kalyan in rinks three, four and five of 14-16 years category and S. Vinitha won the silver medal in the girls category of 10-12 years.

The skating hockey team also won the district level trophies for junior and sub-junior categories and got selected for the state-level competitions. School Pro Vice-chairman Narendra Babu, Director K. Praveen, Dean S.B. Rao, Vice-principal P.K. Sankara Lingam and teachers congratulated the winners.
