The State Government has been asked to devise a way to register D-Form pattas so that they could be used for bank loans and passed to legal heirs, Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu has said.

Addressing a gathering at a Praja Padham programme held in Ayodhya Nagar and Shanthinagar (51 division) Mr. Vishnu said that the State Government was on the job and soon D-form patta holders would be able to register their land.

The MLA gave away a cheque for 1.97 lakh to 32 self help groups on the occasion. The MLA said that the objective behind conducting Praja Padham in the summer was to be of assistance to them.

The people should bring to the notice of the people's representatives and Government officials problems related to drinking water, health, power supply, Arogyasri and the ‘pavalavaddi' scheme.

The MLA said that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had taken disbursement of loans to the next level. Interest-free loans were being given to those eligible. He said that as many as 62 persons benefited in the municipal division through the Arogyasri scheme and the State Government paid Rs.13 lakh for their treatment.

The government in a very magnanimous gesture paid Rs.10 lakh for the operation of engineering student Sarat Chandra. Funds to the tune of Rs.1.3 lakh were spent on engineering works in the division, he informed the people at Prajapatham.

Earlier, the MLA went around every lane of Ayodhya Nagar receiving complaints about drinking water and power supply from the residents of the colony. He assured them that action would be taken with regard to their representations.

Mr Vishnu met the former corporator of the division Sistla Ramalinga Murthy. Mr Ramalinga Murthy has joined the Y.S.R.Congress and is an active leader of the party. Mr Murthy went around the area with the MLA and participated in the Praja padham.
