December 24, 2014 01:13 am | Updated May 23, 2016 06:51 pm IST - VIJAYAWADA:

From the coming New Year, devotees thronging Sri Kanaka Durga Temple will be getting laddus weighing 80 grams each against the present 100 grams as the management has decided to reduce its size. However, the cost will remain same, Temple Executive Officer Ch. Narsing Rao said at a press conference here on Tuesday.

At present, each laddu prasadam is offered in a pack of 100 grams for Rs.10. Everyday, 25,000 to 30,000 laddus are sold at the temple. Sales increase by nearly 10,000 laddus during Fridays, Sundays and other public holidays.
