The City police distributed cool kits, including goggles, masks and water bottles, to traffic police personnel on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Police Commissioner D. Gautam Sawang asked the traffic police personnel to take care of their health in the wake of the heat wave conditions and pollution. Stating that the traffic police were prone to heart and other chronic diseases, Mr. Sawang said the traffic constables, home guards, SIs and CIs should protect themselves from sunlight.
“Traffic police will welcome visitors at the entry points into the city. They should behave politely with road users and try to keep up the reputation of the police,” he said. Later, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-Traffic) Kranti Rana Tata and DCP-Administration G.V.G. Ashok Kumar interacted with the personnel and inquired about their problems.
