The local Telugu Desam Party cadre celebrated the induction of Machilipatnam MLA Kollu Ravindra in the 19-member Cabinet of N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Many people belonging to Machilipatnam Assembly constituency thronged the swearing-in venue in Guntur soon after Mr. Naidu confirmed a portfolio for Mr. Ravindra.
Those active on social networking websites congratulated Mr. Ravindra and reminded him of the promises he had made for all-round development of the port town.
“We expect war-footing measures for the development of Bandar town during the TDP regime,” said a member of the ‘Bandar Bandhuvulu’, a 7,000-member Facebook group from the town. Before leaving for the swearing-in, Mr. Ravindra thanked the party and supporters through social networking website.
