Complete health centre works, CPI urges VMC

The party submits a petition to the civic body

The Communist Party of India (CPI) has asked the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) to speed up and complete the long-pending works pertaining to the health centre located between Bavajipeta and Durgapuram in the Division 43.

In a petition to the corporation, CPI city secretariat Member Navaneetham Sambasiva Rao urged the VMC to also gear up for the coming monsoon season to prevent any outbreak of communicable diseases. He stated that the VMC hospital, as on date, has neither got the adequate staff nor the medicines to prevent the spread of any communicable diseases.

He urged the corporation to focus on the division, as the residents we suffering from various ailments and they do not have the funds to approach any corporate hospital.
