Students of the Kunchanapalli Aravinda School were treated to the melodious tunes of well renowned artist of AIR and Doordarshan Nagamani Srinath on Tuesday.

Organised by the Society for Promoting Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth, she was accompanied by violinist B.V. Durga Bhavani, Hari Babu on ghatam and Dandamudi Sumathi Ram Mohan Rao on mridangam.

Students were encouraged to sing along in her Bhajan Keerthana and she advised them to spend at least ten minutes daily listening to classical music. Listening to classical music is like a ‘mental tonic’ which gives immense pleasure and relaxation, she said.

It is great privilege for us to be given the opportunity to listen to the sweet devotional songs, said school principal Indrani and thanked the artists for their wonderful performance.
