More than resources and ambience, it is the will power and hard work that helps students to achieve success. This is proved by P.N. Vaishanavi, a tenth student of A.K.T.P. Municipal High School, who secured 10 out of 10 Grade Point Average score.

Studying in a municipal school was never a challenge for Vaishanavi and it was simple planning and dedication that helped her to excel in the examinations. “I used to regularly attend classes and complete the homework. Later as per the guidance of teachers, I used to study for two hours in the morning and evening,” said Vaishnavi, who dreams to be a mathematics or physics professor.

Interestingly, her father P.V.Krishnamacharyulu is an English lecturer in a corporate college. “My father wanted my brother and me to face the challenges of life right from school days,” she said. In recognition of her success, Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian and Deputy Mayor G. Venkataramana Rao felicitated her on Thursday. She was presented with a wrist watch and was promised a gold ring.
